 cultivated at Cornell University, flowers yellow, bracts orange-red as calyx, leaves green above, red helow, stems stout, erect, Dec 1954, Moore Jr. 6979 (BH 97114);
 Ithaca, cultivated at Cornell University, Stems erect with brown-checked bark. Leaves light to medium green, more or less rugose, red-veined below and red-hairy margined. Pedicels stout, red calyces brilliant red, the tubular yellow flowers with 5 small reddish erect lobes. Fruit dark brown, fles, May 1955, Moore Jr. 7167 (BH 97115);
