CAYUGA FLORA (1926) NOTES: Thickets in rich soil toward the base of valley slopes; rare. July 15-Aug. Renwick slope, between Renwick and Fall Creek (D. !); near s. w. corner of Cayuga Lake (D.). Ont. and N. Y. to Nebr., southw. to Fla. and Ark.; rare or absent along the coast. A plant of the rich soils of the Mississippi Basin.
