South Hill Marsh (D.!) ; n. of Forest Home, in woods (D.); n. of Etna (D.); Freeville, in Fir Tree Swamp (D.) and Freeville Bog (D.!); Beaver Brook swamp (D.); absent from the more limy soils and from the richer soils. Newf. to Out. and Mich., southw. to S.C. and W. Va., locally abundant. A plant primarily of the Coastal Plain.
