MacDaniels); e. of Pony Hollow (D.); Freeville, near bog (D.); near Ludlowville (H. B. Lord); Ledyard, 1827 (J.J. Thomas). E. Que. to Alaska, southw. to n. N.J., Pa., Ill., Minn., and in the Rocky Mts. to Colo.; rare or absent on the Atlantic Coastal Plain. Found also in Eu.
