CAYUGA FLORA (1926) NOTES: Waste places, mostly in gravelly soils; frequent. Aug.-Sept. Near Coy Glen; Six Mile Creek; various places in Ithaca; and elsewhere. This species occurs occasionally in openings in woods, and on the cliffs at Esty Glen and King Ferry, and in such locations it appears as though indigenous (D.!). Que. and Me. to B.C., southw. to Va., Tex., and Calif., including the Atlantic Coastal Plain. Found also in Eu.
