CAYUGA FLORA (1926) NOTES: Dry open soils of various types ; common.- July-Sept. Generally distributed throughout the basin, and appearing like a weed; less abundant in the richer soils. Lab. to Sask., southw. to Ga., Kans., and Ark., including the Coastal Plain. A well-known poisonous medicinal plant.
