CAYUGA FLORA (1926) NOTES: In situations similar to the preceding, but absent on acid soils ; common. Aug.- Sept. Rare on the chestnut soils of the southern hills of the basin, on the ravine crests, and on the sands at Junius ; most abundant in the McLean region. E. Que. to B. C, southw. to Pa., Ohio, Mich., Minn., and in the mts. to Ariz.;rare or absent on the Atlantic Coastal Plain.
